Re-tasted in 2023, the 2013 Barrett & Barrett Cab is dark and dense – concentrated black fruit character on the nose, cassis syrup and blackberry as well as some bright raspberry. Intense and bold. The warm ripe berry flavors are balanced with strong earthy mineral character as well as notes of kalamata olive, pie spice, and French oak. One of our more structured vintages, the tannins are still somewhat tight and can benefit from time to open in the glass, or some additional time in the cellar.
